Maybe They’re Getting Ready For Christmas In July
In October of 2007 we chided the Washington Welcome Center (1001 E ST NW) for putting up their xmas tree display so early. Now here it is the end of April, and we’re chiding them for leaving it up too long. We know we can’t have it both ways, but come on, this is crazy. [...]
PQ Lunch Hour Activities
Now that the weather is warming up, we’re thinking of how to best spend that lunch hour in the PQ (preferably outside). One activity that the WaPo suggests is catching one of the 45 minute Civil War-era shows between 11am and 1pm at the Ford’s Theater. That may suffice for a couple of rainy days [...]

When moving downtown from the suburbs some four years ago, we knew that our reliance on receiving ten clear over-the-air (OTA) TV signals might be compromised and sure enough, two weeks of enduring a hazy channel [...]
Which Beaches Are Worth The Drive?
It only takes one 80 degree day before we start to think about heading to the beach. The long haul between the PQ and the shore isn’t any fun so it makes choosing the right beach important. We at PQ Living like all beaches from family friendly Ocean City to the tax-free Delaware shore. If [...]

PQ Farmer’s Market On CNN
Embedded video from CNN Video
Thanks go out to a PQ Living reader who sent in this clip from CNN that shows how our very own Penn Quarter Farmer’s Market gets its goods for the every Thursday market on 8th Street NW. It might cost more but you can buy locally grown produce, support the small/mid [...]
PQ Babies?
A loyal PQL reader, who is also expecting soon, wrote in to ask: “I was just wondering how many other new moms and babies there are in the neighborhood. ”
We don’t know where this post will lead, but to all of our PQ parents, feel free to leave a note/question/comment in the comments section. Maybe [...]
