This afternoon were tables, umbrellas and chairs in an area surrounded by what lloked like tall flower boxes on the 8th street side of Asia Spice.

Let's hope they open soon.

I know this is technically Chinatown, but "Asian" sounds abit generic. Also, couldn't we get a little more diversity in the cuisine in the area? How about a NY style pizzeria or a good Jewish deli?
And what's with Momiji on H near 5th? The sign has been up for months but nothing.

I was wondering if it was related to Spices in Cleveland Park and Nooshi. Fonts used look similar. Is there a web site?

I'm excited for this place--a friend who lives in MoCo told me that the people opening this restaurant used to have a restaurant in Frederick with great food and an amazing beer selection. So I'm hoping this place lives up to that promise.

Isn't it on the NE corner of 8th and H Sts NW? Regardless, looks like a nice building and an improvement for that corner. The seating on 8th Street would be wonderful, as that livens up that block.
