Thanks should first go to the residents of Mather Studios. Alice Kelley did a very good job of moving the buses away from G street and should be thanked for her hard work; but she was also the person who put them there in the first place. If it wasn't for a group concerned residents in Mather Studios, the buses would still be there. They did an outstanding job coming together and getting the city to move the buses from in front of peoples' homes to a better suited location. A place they should have been to begin with.

The buses will pick up/drop off at the southwest corner of the main lot -- near 10th and H -- using the public art panels as shelter. This is a great alternative -- still close to Metro, no traffic issues, and an already maintained public space.

The move was possible through the hard work and quick negotiations by Alice Kelley at DDoT to get all on board, including the Downtown BID, the Mayors Office, U Street Parking and the bus companies.
