Hopefully urban restaurant does not mean more $12 cocktails and $15 “small plates” to round out the menu.
Also noticed a new kabob place next to Chinatown Express. Can’t recall the name and it was closed early so I didn’t get a chance to stop by.
I think I posted this question earlier but don’t recall an answer and haven’t found an info: anyone know when Wagamama is supposed to open in the old Olsson’s space?
According to Vapiano’s website, the Chinatown Vapiano is opening February 24th. http://www.vapianointernational.com/
Wagamama delayed until May 2010. http://www.wagamama.us/latest/news/from/wagamama/105
I have no idea why, but that stinks.
That totally stinks about Wagamama! Our economy is better than Boston’s, after all. And here’s a great way to endear yourself to a neighborhood: take over a space once leased by a local bookstore, then let that prime retail location sit empty with covered windows for two years before opening. Looking forward to my first noodles next summer!
Any news on the kebab place next to Chinatown Express??
I agree with Danny. Cedar is on the ground floor of the Lexington II — will residents have street noise due to sidewalk tables open til 2-3am??
thats the point of the public posting of ABC licensenses. If someone thinks they will be affected they can contact the owner or file a protest to request more information or restrictions on the licensee’s operations if appropriate. The licensee doesn’t have to agree to them which would then result in a more lenghty process with the ABC Board, but thats why there is a public posting requirement. Not sure when this one expires.
for Cedar, the petition date is March 16, 2009 and the hearing date is March 30, 2009. that gives folks a few weeks yet to voice themselves.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Great news indeed!
