I totally support the new polling place - I could walk a couple of blocks as opposed to schlepping all the way over to Capitol South in the drenching, freezing rain like last time. But I don't think I'll be able to get a letter in by close of business tomorrow, as this is the first I've heard of this. I don't see any email address to send supportive comments in. This is great! The DNA spearheaded this effort and worked hard with ANC6C09 Commissioner Charlie Docter and Councilmember Tommy Wells to make this happen. DNA Director Miles Groves appeared at a Board of Elections hearing to testify in favor of this. Besides the ways listed in the article, we can also show support for this and other important initiatives by joining the DNA, volunteering and attending its meetings.
