I also recently went for the brunch and completely agree that the price fixe was not worth it. The portions were tiny and the quality and flavor of the food mediocre. I was disappointed with the tapas for dinner and disappointed again for brunch. I will not be back.
Well, as much as I agree that the food is expensive and small, I must disagree about the quality and taste. I have eaten at CCS a few times — each visit I tried different dishes, desserts and cocktails. I thought everything was inventive, fresh, and had some very interesting flavor combinations and profiles.
Is it my cup of cocoa? No. But chicks LOVE it. This is where I am taking female business clients and visiting guests.
Plus, the decor alone is worth a visit — it is gorgeous and calming, even with the predominantly brown scheme. I would kill for the floor tiles in my kitchen.
We had brunch at Co Co. Sala last week. It was phenomenal. Although the portions may seem small, isn’t that the purpose of the prix fix? You get a taste of a wide course of food. The french toast was amazing by the way! If you are not a foodie and looking for an IHOP/Aunt Jemima brunch, then perhaps this place is not for you. But if you are into foods that are creative, fresh and delicious, I highly recommend it. There was five of us and all of us did not leave disappointed.

I went to brunch on Sunday and:
The prix fix isn’t quite worth the price and the french press coffee tasted like coffee grounds. (I make my own french press coffee and there IS an art to this process).
The cheese souffle and fresh pesto was outstanding and very light. I ordered this with the prix fix which was a rip off. The chocolate fritter was smaller than a bon bon, tasty, but average. The two mini desserts that accompanied tasted like packaged mousse served in the size of 1/2 a shot glass.
The other guests at the table ordered the flat bread egg dish. This was a hefty portion of a dry omellete served with bacon, sausage and cheese.
The service was marginal and the noise level was loud.
Gentlemen, if you are looking for women..this is the place to go. The majority of the tables were filled with young ladies, all indulging in Chocolate.
