I just got denied while fighting a parking ticket in front of the convention center. The ticket was $250 for parking in a handicapped spot. The spot was not clearly marked with signs, or on the meter. I had pictures, and was told though the sign was partially obscured, signs don't need to be visible from all angles (though it would make sense to be able to see a sign while parking or going to feed the meter). I talked to a local business owner (Cuttin Up Barber Shop) and was told the meter person comes by several times an hour to cite folks there, and he wish he'd known I parked there so he could warn me. I'm sure these unethical ticketers will have a field day with the new parking meters in PQ!

Yeah - in front of the office building at ~950 F Street there is a no parking sign and right above it is a sign that says something to the affect of "pay for parking at the machine.."

The odd thing is that they put some of the multi-parking meters in no parking zones. This leads some people to think that they can park in front of these meters, if they don't pay close attention to the signs. Kind of a bone-headed decision on the part of the city.

I know people are concerned about bike parking with the lack of meters. I have seen a few new bike racks on 7th Street (betw. G and H) -- small but better than nothing. Probably installing as they rip out the meters.
