7th Street Historic Row To Get More Lights
The row of historical row houses on 7th Street between G and H Streets NW is about to get brighter at night. Last night, the first light (seen at the top of the pic) was turned on, illuminating the building and the sidewalk below with great effect. Those who live in the Residences at Gallery Place can see the network of electrical outlets on the tops of the buildings across the street – each terminal is expected to receive a light. We don’t have an exact count but there should be over 10 lights. These lights are undoubtedly funded by the owner of the buildings, not the city.
We definitely welcome the additional light! Even as the sun sets earlier in the winter months, this busy street still bustles until very late. Also, pictures of the historical buildings at night should turn out better than before!

Anon: Elroy’s is the name of the new pool hall to open up next to La Tasca early next year. Link to more info.

Any word on when Elroy’s is opening? Progress seems slow but sure.
