Union Kitchen Comes to PQ
The food scene in DC is on the rise. Not only do we have a growing list of nationally-recognized restaurants along with our own neighborhood superstars, but we also now have an ever-increasing amount of locally made, artisan food items. This is thanks in large part to food incubators like Union Kitchen who provide the commercial cooking space and infrastructure to help great ideas get onto the marketplace. Now, Union Kitchen is collaborating with the National Museum of Women in the Arts (1250 New York Ave., NW) to run a series of pop-ups in the museum cafe. This will be a great opportunity for those of us in the Penn Quarter neighborhood to get a taste of the new ideas coming out of Union Kitchen’s members and help emerging food businesses evolve and expand. The first pop-up is scheduled to open in November.
p.s. Happy Halloween!
