GO CAPS!!!!

I absolutely cannot wait until the Flyers wipe the Caps off the face of the earth. If I have to live another evening with the most obnoxious fans in the world honking their horns three times in the most incessant inane “chant” that I have ever heard, I might just plain die. Well, maybe instead I will just find their suburban houses and sit in their coldesacs while I honk my horn to some Flyers jingle until past midnight. I just sit here and take it- I am sure they would come out with a hockey stick or worse. Go Broad Street Bullies!!! Caps- please move to Oklahoma City or some other more appropriate locale. Cheers.

In my experience, ALL TEAMS who win a playoff game hoot and holler and rejoice…football, baseball, hockey, etc.

I am sure if your team were winning, you would be celebrating,as well.

I hear the hooting and hollering in my apartment too but it only lasts thirty minutes and then goes away.

Having lived on that block for over a year — Caps fans are the most obnoxious. Wizard fans tend to be shockingly quiet; Hoya fans do 5 minutes of post-game pandemonium and then go home; Disney-on-Ice fans make you worried that you’re going to step on a three-year-old but are mostly harmless. But those Caps fans — maybe it’s all the beer you need to drink so that you don’t notice how cold the arena is, but they are loud and boisterous. But hey, beats living in the suburbs.

Geez, CB Resident, don’t you think Caps fans deserve to make a little happy noise after the game? I live just as close to the Verizon Center as the CB is, and I agree with pqresident – the noise usually lasts for only 30 minutes or so after the game. I love the excitement we have had on the streets these last couple of weeks! LET’S GO CAPS!!

If you don’t want to hear hockey fans, why on earth would you live near the arena? This is the same as moving next door to a dump and then complaining about the smell of garbage. The arena has been there since 1997– I’m certain CB Resident hasn’t. This is part of living in a vibrant downtown area– whining about it is a waste of time.

What a shock…I never thought that I’d hear people cheering for a local team in the playoffs when I chose to live next to a sports arena.

I’m glad to hear the excitement in the neighborhood–as long as they don’t start fights or start burning couches.

Man that was a tough loss. I really thought they were going to pull off the win last night. Oh well, what a ride. I sure hope this spurs some interest in Caps season tickets next year.
