E Street McDonald’s Assailant Suspects Arrested
On the night of February 12, two members in a group of teens assaulted a patron at the McDonald’s in the 900 block of E Street NW across the street from the FBI building. The Washington Post reported that two juvenile suspects have been arrested for the crime; multiple cameras captured the assault on video.
We continue to observe teens gathering in a few places around the neighborhood and remind neighbors to be conscious of their surroundings when they are out and about in downtown DC and Penn Quarter. We also see law enforcement, MPD and Metro Transit Police, continue to put resources in the right places to keep a lid on these types of crimes.
The good news is that the neighborhood has gotten past the epoch when the problem was much more serious.
