RSS FeedMetro Holding HQ Public Hearing On Thursday, Oct 20 On Proposed Reduced Hours Of Operation
Metro is holding a public hearing at Metro HQ (600 5th St NW) for much of the day on Thursday, October 20 to solicit feedback on the four proposed schedule reductions plus supplemental bus service that will allow Metro to clear the backlog of maintenance items needing attention. Solicitation of feedback from the public will run until 5 pm on October 25, 2016 and will be provided to Metro’s Board of Directors for their December 2016 meeting where they will make a final decision on the matter.
The open house will run from 12 Noon to 9 pm and the public hearing portion will run from 12:30 pm to 10 pm allowing plenty of time for plenty of comments (Docket B16-03: Restriction of Metrorail Operating Hours [PDF link]).
If you ride the subway extensively (or even once in a while) and want to provide input on the schedule reductions, now is the time to do so.
