In the summer of 2007 we wrote about breaking the Sunday blues by embracing PQ comfort foods. While we think that approach still works well, there’s another way to help fight the blues: movies. But in these tough economic times, you can get the blues just by having to pay the price of admission.
Happily the National Gallery of Art (East Building, 3rd & Constitution NW) is here to help, today their free film series features the 1966 musical comedy A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. If Zero Mostel can’t chase those blues away, well, there’s always eggs benedict.
