Arts On Foot This Saturday In Penn Quarter!

Arts of Foot 2006 will be held this Saturday from 11am to 5pm. The event is FREE and is rain or shine (only some AM rain is in the forecast). The center of the festival appears to be at 8th and F St, just outside of the Smithsonian American Art & Portrait Gallery.

Many events are planned at several venues in Penn Quarter, so check out the schedule beforehand!

Some highlights:

Several Downtown restaurants will be at the 8th & F outdoor festival offering a variety of “samplings” at nominal prices.

The Penn Quarter walking-tour (that we missed earlier this year) is from 11am to 12:45. Other guided tours are listed here.

There will be an Art Market where local artists will selling their artwork

I know that at least one of the artists in the Arts on Foot Art Market lives right here in Penn Quarter – Dana Ellyn (http://www.danaellyn.com). I bought a couple of her paintings last weekend at Adams Morgan Festival and look forward to maybe picking up another piece or two on Saturday.
