Arts On Foot Wrap-up
Our assessment of this year’s Arts On Foot is that is was very successful. Several artists that we spoke with indicated that it was the best year yet! Also, the $1 – $4 food samples were a great hit and an excellent way to taste all of Penn Quarter’s restaurants at one event.

I thought the event was successful as well. I thought the food went over very well and it wasn’t overpriced like the Taste of DC of years past. I thought the art exhibits were very nice and hopefully there will be more artists next year.
I’ve exhibited and sold my paintings at Arts of Foot for 4 years and, for me, this was the best year of all.
Thanks to Claire Carlin and Ashley Neeley at the DC BID and Jo-Ann Neuhaus for putting together such and organized and successful festival!
I also felt like the event was extremely successful. The food was unbelievable (tiramisu for $1!?!?!), and the neighborhood felt so vibrant. Having the museum open I’m sure contributed to the liveliness, but all the great art outside helped too! Thanks to the organizers, exhibitors, and restaurants for putting together such a great neighborhood event!!
right on!
i had a great day as well… thanks to everybody that stopped by tent. big thanks to Claire, Jo-Ann, and Ashley as well.
The attendence at the main site was great, but I noticed when I visited some of the other venues that there was far less traffic than in previous years.
I guess the Passport idea in previous years where folks were entered in dawing for doorprizes if they had visited a certain number of places encouraged more folks to visit places the Canadian Embassy and Woolly Mammoth.
Does anyone know if they are considering bringing back the Passport to arts on foot?
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I was there too!! I wish they would consider doing this on a more regular basis. I would imagine that the artists may actually do better at Penn Q than at Eastern Market (wehere most of them were from). They will catch the tourists walking from the metro to the mall or back.
That being said, it was a ton of fun! Especially the $3 crabcake sandwich. Yum!
