Or so we heard. Repeatedly. While we were using the self-checkout at CVS today on 8th street, we were privy to one side of a very loud cell phone conversation. There were many customers in the regular checkout line and one of them was excited. So everyone in the store got to hear a one-sided cell phone conversation that went something like this (as best we can from memory):
[Loudly on cell]: I was standing around waiting for something to do when I was told “Chevy Chase needs Claritin, get to CVS!” so I raced up to the drug store. I’m in CVS. I’M IN CVS… CHEVY CHASE NEEDS CLARITIN. I have it in my hand right now, I’m waiting in the checkout line. Chevy. Chevy Chase. He’s famous.
Chase is in town for Earth Day (happy Earth Day everyone) and we hope he gets to see more of PQ than just the National Mall. As annonying as the CVS cell phone talker was, we’d probably be texting all of our friends too if Chase sat next to us at the bar at Capital Grille.

I was thinking to myself, what the hell are you guys doing up in Chevy Chase? And then as I was reading the post I was thinking, man people from Chevy Chase are coming down to PQ to horde Claritin?
It took me a few minutes to realize that Chevy Chase the actor was in the area.
