CoCo Sala…Sweetness Coming Soon
Ed. Note: Co Co. Sala is now open. Check out PQ Living’s post on it here.
The owners of CoCo Sala provided PQ Living with a sneak peak inside their venue at 929 F St, NW, and we’re here to let you know that we haven’t seen anything quite like it in DC. And we mean that in a good way.
From the meticulous interior details to the distinct eating areas, the space is meant to provide different food experiences typically including chocolate in some creative way. One part of the space includes a glass wall allowing customers to watch the chocolate making process. Ultimately, CoCo plans to be open from early until late catching patrons from the breakfast pastry lovers to the loungey night owls; they will start up with evening hours and predicted an early to mid-May opening.
We asked about why the owners went with a space in the Penn Quarter instead of another part of the city. They said they looked in Georgetown and one or two other spots but the Penn Quarter was more in line with the clientele they want to have nearby. We’re glad to have them in the neighborhood too!

Do we know if they’ll be serving a full menu? So I can go there for a sit-down lunch or dinner? Or is it really just dessert and breakfast pastries?
I had a chance to see the inside last night at a pre-opening event. It really is going to be nice. They are opening softly some time this week. Initially it will be evening only for dinner / drinks / desert. Eventually they will open for lunch and then also for breakfast / coffee / etc.
They currently have a formal bar area with a small number of tables in one area and then a second area which is a little more casual and will be their lunch / cafe entrance. They have taken more space (the next storefront to the right) and that will be the dining room and will seat about 70 people which will open in about 2 months.
It’s open! And it’s absolutely STUNNING! We went for hot chocolate (yum) after dinner tonight and were very impressed. So glad to have this place only a block away.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

We are SOOOOOO glad that they chose us over
Georgetown. Can’t wait.
