14th Street – President Obama visits the 14th Street location of Taylor Gourmet to talk about the importance of small businesses in the U.S. [White House blog] & [WaPo] & [Prince of Petworth]
Penn Quarter – The Penn Quarter Neighborhood Association hosts its monthly meeting at The Hamilton (14th and F St NW) on Thursday, May 24. Morning snacks and coffee start at 8:30 am and the main presentation starts at 9 am. Susan Spain, the National Park Service’s Project Executive for the National Mall, and Caroline Cunningham, President of the Trust for the National Mall, will talk about proposed changes to the National Mall. CityCenter DC to get specialty food market
Plans are starting to shape up for the gourmet food market slated for CityCenter DC, one of the city’s largest development rising from the ground, with about 11 speciality merchants being identified for the space, developer Hines said May 21 at the International Council of Shopping Centers conference in Las Vegas.
