Gallery Place Rumors: Cowgirls, Matchbox, And Zengo

We’ve received several emails/posts about current rumors in Gallery Place. We hope to get to the bottom of some of them in the next couple of days.

Cheryl let’s us know that Matchbox (713 H St NW) was closed yesterday and had a sign posted on the door. Something about live music and ANCs. Hummm..

Jason writes in to let us know that he talked with two nice ladies at Cowgirl Creamery (919 F St NW) who said they hope to open the store on Tuesday (tomorrow)!

An anonymous poster left a comment here informing us that Zengo (781 7th St NW) has closed it’s to-go window. It has not been verified yet.

Matchbox is closed every Sunday.

I think those two nice ladies were Sue and Peggy – the owners. They were very very nice.
