More Street Vendors To Appear In Downtown (Map)

Two words: doner kebabs.

DC’s first doner kebab vendor will have a license to print money.

Same goes for most everything else that we don’t have already. Having worked at 14th & H for a time, I can attest to the lack of (affordable) lunch options in that area, but the concentration around 15th & NY Ave is ridiculous. Did Treasury Dept employees make up a majority of this committee or something? Overall, the placement of these, and how close together some are mapped (I/Q, K/L, M/P, and esp B/S), seems quite random. I was wondering how the DC govt might screw this one up.

isn’t that 6th and E, and 11th and E I see on the map? The 6th and E is a half block from the Clara Barton, I imagine that location will focus on the game crowd.

When did Lei Garden close?

anon: lei garden was bought sometime recently (last 2 – 3 months). We don’t really have any further info (i.e. who bought it and for how much).

I think Mrs. Wong bought Lei Garden as part of the Gallery Square project.
