Ringling Brothers Marches Through Gallery Place
Readexpress.com points to a WTOP article informing us that the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Pachyderm Parade will make its way through the city, moving from 32nd and D Streets to the Verizon Center.
It started at around 12:30 p.m. and is probably over by now. Did of our readers witness the parade? Unless you work on E St (east of 6th) or on 6th St (between E and G), it doesn’t sound like it could have been seen by many Gallery Place/Penn Quarter residents or office workers.
The circus opens at the Verizon Center on Thursday.

I saw it! Elephants were adorable, and it was a nice unexpected treat on an otherwise humdrum Monday.
I saw it from my office window on E Street. A little later on, the Dunbar high school marching band followed.
That sounds like fun. I love all of the crazy things that go on around here.
Speaking of animals, have you posted anything about dogs? We just got a puppy and I would love to know where everyone goes to walk their dogs and play. I wish we had a neighborhood dog park!
Everyone seems to take their dogs on the west side of the Building Museum in that large grassy area.
andy in gp: We brought this up once before, didn’t get much of a response, you can see that post here.
Thanks, Columbo! This is very helpful. Our puppy Otis is still a bit afraid of the outside world, but we’re hoping to be able to take advantage of the area once he gets a little bigger.

I think they mean 3rd and D Street.
