RSS FeedPQ Soon To Be Maxxinista Destination
Reader Jon Gann of The Mather & DC Shorts sent us this photo from a window on F Street between 12th & 13th in one of the old Ritz Camera locations (we think this was 601 13th St NW).
Retailer T.J.Maxx will be taking over the space, which we’re thinking must include a large subterranean space as well. We can’t imagine a T.J.Maxx space as small as any of the old Ritz Camera shops, but assuming there is basement access this might help fill the void left by the closing of Filene’s Basement.

I remember reading this in the Washington Post which talks about Maxx’s 13th Street lease. (that story refers back to a WaBizJo article.) glad to see it happen as Filene’s is where I go for less costly suits, shirts, ties…you name it. don’t have to schlep up to the Maxx in Friendship Heights anymore.
