Traffic Nightmare Expected In Penn Quarter Tomorrow
DDOT announced a traffic advisory yesterday that will affect almost the entire Penn Quarter. Due to the March for Life event tomorrow, Friday Jan 22nd from 9am – 5pm, temporary road closures will affect:
- 7th Street between I and F Streets, NW
- F Street between 7th and 10th Streets, NW
- 10th Street between F Street and Constitution Avenue, NW
- Constitution Avenue between 10th and 12th Streets, NW
- 7th Street between Constitution Avenue and Jefferson Street, NW
- Constitution between 7th Street, NW and First Street, NE
- First Street between Constitution Avenue, NE and East Capitol Street, SE

This is bizarre. I understand the closures near the mall, but why the others (F St, 7th between I and F, etc.)? That’s a very strange place to march.
Also, any idea how they’ll handle this for residents of the area? My garage opens onto one of those closed streets, and I’ll be pretty unhappy if that means I can’t drive anywhere all day tomorrow.
