Zola Wine & Kitchen is closed. A farewell tweet ended the three and a half year run for a neighborhood favorite place to buy wine, have an affordable lunch, or take a cooking class; the store opened on December 1, 2008. Yesterday was its last day in business selling out of all its inventory after announcing Tuesday that it would be closing for good by Friday. The scene above is from the 50% of all stock sale the store Tuesday night where we picked up a few Italian reds we enjoyed tasting in the last month or two. Gift certificates will be honored at Zola (the restaurant), Potenza, and Potenza Wine.
What’s coming next for the space? “An undisclosed restauranter” [sic] will be taking its place per a Facebook post. Farewell ZWK…we hardly knew ye.
