Being A Neighborhood Ambassador: Prepaid SIM Cards in PQ?
At about 7 pm on a weekday, this blogger was recently stopped by a tourist on 7th St NW with the following question: Where can I buy a top-up (pre-paid) cell phone SIM card?
My answer: I don’t know.
Hats off to this tourist who could sense out a neighborhood resident on the streets, but does anyone know the answer to his question?

You can by prepaid sim cards at any wireless service retailer. Now where in the hood we have these I’m not sure.
I think Radio shack might cell mobile phones…
just be careful. some folks (including myself) have international ‘unlocked’ phones. in europe/latin america/africa/asia, you can buy a local card that gives you a local number, and minutes that are ‘downloadable’ to your phone while you’re in a given country.
in the u.s., most pre-paid phone cards don’t function that way. they come with a particular carrier that assumes you already have a local account with a local company.

perhaps at radio shack (12th & F)?
