Tommy Wells (Ward 6 Councilmember) and 5th Street Hardware (1055 5th Street NW) are teaming up to bring the neighborhood a community open house this Thursday, March 19 between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. With no strict agenda, Tommy Wells will be on hand to meet and greet constituents, hear concerns and answer questions. The hardware chain has been in DC for six years and its fourth store in DC, found in the CityVista development, will be offering coffee and recyclable green tote bags at no cost along with discount coupons.

I have found Tommy Wells and is staff to be both nice and responsive – I feel lucky to have fallen within Ward 6. Two blocks up and I’d be in Ward 2.
