Every now and then there’s a need to leave the best neighborhood in the city. Bindaas (3309 Connecticut Ave. NW), the new Indian street food restaurant from PQ restaurateur Ashok Bajaj and James Beard award winning (Rasika) Chef Vikram Sundaram, is one of them.
Many of the classic, refined flavors you’ve come to love at Rasika have cameo roles. But, this small plates menu is much more playful, with memorable bursts of bright flavors and textures in a casual, but lively environment. Already on its way to being as hard to get into as its sister restaurant, be sure to hop on the Red Line soon to explore this delicious exploration of Indian cuisine.
