FreshFarm Earth Day Benefit To Kick Off Poste Patio Season
The Poste Moderne Brasserie patio (555 8th Street, NW), formally known as The Garden at Poste, will kick of their patio season this week by hosting a garden party on Earth Day, Wednesday April 22 from 5 pm to 7 pm, with the admittance fee benefitting FreshFarm Markets. The $5 admittance fee will be donated to FreshFarm, a non-profit organization that runs the many open air markets around town such as the Dupont Circle market and our very own Penn Quarter Market which recently started back up for the season on Thursdays.
What will be available to consume you ask? The consumables include samples of truffle frites and warm gougères off Poste’s small plates menu, wine tastings from Virginia wineries, cheese tastings from Cowgirl Creamery, samples of French microbrews and samples of new punch-style cocktails being served in the garden.
Visitors are encouraged to use the carriage entrance to the courtyard which fronts 8th Street. (Please, no carriages). The patio isn’t infinitely large and space is limited thus visitors will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
FreshFarm Markets is a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC with 501(c)3 status.
