Jazz In The Garden Starts Tonight!
One of our favorite things to do when the weather gets nice is hit up the Sculpture Garden’s Jazz In The Garden after work on Fridays. The National Gallery of Art gives the Sculpture Garden an outdoorsy European cafe feel every Friday afternoon by pulling in a jazz, blues or swing band act to play in the open air for a couple of hours. Tonight’s featured act is Alex Martin’s Amérique Latine (Euro-Latin Jazz) starting at 5 pm and you can check the summer schedule for more information on other dates.
Bring your blanket, bring your friends, bring your Whole Paycheck (I mean Whole Foods) prepared foods and bring some beverages (that of course adhere to the rules…) !!! If you don’t want to bring food and drink, you can always buy it at the Garden. We see lots of happy festive people at this weekly event and you should be one of them. So check it out.
Jazz In The Garden runs Fridays from May 23 to October 3 at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, located on the National Mall at 7th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, and bounded by Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive and by 7th and 9th Streets NW.
