Cheryl writes in to let us know that there is Jazz on the Mall from 12:00-8:00pm (at the Washington Monument Grounds, Sylvan Amphitheatre, National Mall at 15th Street). It’s part of the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival.
- Details: Wayne Shorter Quartet, Featuring Brian Blade, John Patitucci, Danilo Perez; Wallace Roney Sextet; The Dirty Dozen Brass Band; Chuck Brown; Jerry Gonzalez & The Fort Apache Band; Sunny Sumter. Free. Sylvan Amphitheatre, The National Mall DC.

The Sunday posting erroneously relied on the 05 Duke Ellington Jazz Festival schedule. There was no Jazz on the Mall at Sylvan Theatre on Oct. 1. The event is scheduled for Oct. 4 – 9 at various locations throughout the city and the Sylvan Theatre.
