We were walking home from work and saw lots of police tape closing off 8th Street, H Street, and 10th Street NW yesterday afternoon. We soon learned that a man was fatally shot and the suspect apprehended by the police. This is a very rare occurrence in our neighborhood. (Note that the tweet headline mistook 8th Street to be H Street. The initial incident took place on 8th Street NW.)
