Penn Quarter Austin Grill Closed (750 E St NW)
Per the posted signage, the Penn Quarter Austin Grill (750 E St NW) is now closed. We ate there the Sunday before closure and noticed the menus pulled off the exterior signage boards. This restaurant has been in place since the MCI Center era and predates the 2005 boom era of redevelopment.

We finally had the chance to enjoy Chef Eric Zeibolds new restaurant, Kinship (1015 7th St NW). Every singe dish was perfection! We especially recommend the Lobster French Toast, the halibut with asparagus and tarragon (pictured here, tastes like Spring!), the torching of mushroom, the chocolate chip cookie soufflé and salted caramel peanut bar. Art On Foot: Chagall
As many times as we’ve enjoyed the sculpture garden (9th and Constitution, NW) at the NGA, we were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this beautiful wall by Marc Chagall tucked back in a grove. Jazz in the Garden, a neighborhood favorite, starts May 27th.
