About
Operational since February of 2006, Penn Quarter Living is a regular news and information site focused on living, working, going out and generally enjoying all that downtown Washington DC’s East End has to offer. We cover downtown DC east of the White House and west of the Capitol with the focal point being the Penn Quarter’s 7th Street corridor. At over 3 million page views, over 4000 Twitter followers, and over 700 Facebook fans, and growing, a consistent readership turns to Penn Quarter Living for a regular dose of downtown DC news. We also offer a mobile friendly website that speeds access to our articles on cell phones.
Locally owned and operated, and born out of a desire by local denizens to promote a safe, interesting and fun urban community, you’ll find downtown DC residents, workers and students from all walks of life reading and commenting on Penn Quarter Living. This site is operated to provide a community service and is done so on a volunteer basis. All story comments are moderated according to our comment policy and are free of spam and link backs.
The Penn Quarter Living team runs a high availability site posting two to three new stories each week. Other media outlets reference our stories and advertising inventory is available via Google’s advertising platform. (None of our stories are paid placements.)
Stay awhile, take a look around, leave a comment and feel free to let us know how we’re doing. We appreciate your readership and your telling your friends about us!
Readers can reach us at pqliving@gmail.com if they have comments, news tips, or article suggestions. Thanks for reading and commenting.
