Potbelly on Indiana Avenue Open
Another Potbelly Sandwich Works opened in the Penn Quarter at 637 Indiana Avenue, NW next to the Top Shelf Bar and Lounge. The assembly line deli is a two story affair with exposed brick, hardwood floors and a signature potbelly stove perched at the front. Seating is a mix of booths, two top and four top tables. PQResident always recommends The Wreck and an Oreo shake for first timers.

!~The Wreck and an Oreo Shake~! You are after my heart – that’s been my order since I lived next door to the original Potbelly in Chicago many..ahem..a few years ago in college.
Now, that I’m also in GP and they have opened another location, I’m a happy, happy girl.
Thanks for the update and I LOVE, LOVE your blog; I just added you to my blogroll so I can get a daily dose. Keep up the great work. 😉

Went in this weekend for an inaugural sandwich, and the staff claims the building has the world’s oldest working elevator. A bit of basic internet research indicates they may be correct, although this article says it’s a myth. At any rate, there’s definitely some history in that building!
