The DNA meeting will actually be at the Chop House tomorrow evening (in the Vault downstairs).
Charley Docter is an ANC Representative for 6C.
Two Thumbs Up to the Chop House for being a terrific host for the meeting. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect, but they were terrific.
They had wonderful setup in the banquet room and had some great appetizers to munch on. And completely unexpected were the free drinks!!
It worked particularly well with Jack Evans brief discussion on the origin of the neighborhood noting that the Chop House was the first restaurant to open in this area (followed shortly by Jaleo).
I was quite impressed. It was very nice of the Chop House to be so welcoming to the neighborhood.
I also attended the last part of the meeting and thought it was one of the more informative and useful DNA meetings I’ve attended. it was also encouraging to hear Chet Grey from the BID talk about about the Mayor’s Housing First initiative as forward progress in the fight against the homeless issues we have. it was good to see an engaged neighborhood show up for the meeting.
