March On Washington 50th Anniversary (& PQ/Downtown Street Closures)
Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of the march on Washington when Dr. Martin Luther King gave his famous speech in 1963. In addition to the importance of the event itself, there are lots of Penn Quarter/downtown street closures to know about tomorrow between 3 am and 7 pm.The street closure list was updated this afternoon and it’s not as bad for downtown/PQ.
We’ve identified three web pages you’ll want to visit as below to stay informed about the events surrounding the anniversary:
1) 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington homepage [DC Government]
2) MLK Dream 50 homepage [The King Center]
3) Street closures associated with the Anniversary [DC Government]

Gathered by the lined out copy that it wasn’t just our immagination that we read the streets were closed and then they weren’t in fact. What happened? Who mis-called the shots?
Thanks.
