Archives/NM/PQ Metro Station Closed This Weekend
Metro is doing much maintenance this weekend and that means that in the Penn Quarter, the Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter station will be closed Friday, October 9 at 10:30 pm through the end of Monday, October 12. Normal station hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13. The Metro press release and web page can be found here. Other impacts include a shuttle bus taking the place of the Green line in the affected areas, other station closures and the Yellow line being rerouted to hug the Blue line to include the Potomac River tunnel.

Thanks for the heads up. A pretty big impact on PQ dwellers.
But so is the pending request to rescind the farmers’ market on Thursdays at 8th & E. Any comment from this blog? I’m surprised to see this news making its way around town but no meaningful comment from a blog that ostensibly serves this neighborhood in particular.
