Azur To Transform To Menu
Last week, we walked by Azur (405 8th St NW) and noticed it was all papered up. According to a press release issued by the Chef/Owner, Frederick de Pue, Azur, which opened just 6 months ago in the former Cafe Atlantico building, was not a good fit for the large space and he has decided to launch a new concept called Menu. Menu will offer the neighborhood it’s very first boutique grocery on the ground floor featuring local produce and specialty items, as well as bar and dining options upstairs. The space will be undergoing a renovation and Menu is scheduled to open in January 2014.
