RSS FeedBlackboard At 650 Mass Ave NW
This one sure did slip under the radar but late is better than never.
Blackboard, the Washington DC based education software firm, has made their presence known in the PQ by signing a 10 year lease for 650 Massachusetts Avenue, NW. Listed on Yahoo Finance as having 890 employees (including their Phoenix, Arizona location), their DC location was (still is?) downtown at 1899 L Street NW. We’re glad they’ve moved (or are moving) into our corner of town. The ground floor reception area at the point of 7th St and Mass Ave looks like it’s almost ready to receive visitors. Just a few finishing touches and it’ll be ready to go. Check out the building signage too!

Ditto Sam Farmer’s comment, the ground floor of that building is pretty underutilized as far as street level retail and activity.
Oh, we’re here. We’ve been in this building since about mid-June. Nicer lunch choices, and better happy hour crowds than the K-street suits we used to have to run with.
