Dancing In Your Own Backyard
18th and Connecticut is a nightlife hotspot in DC with ESL, Five and 1223 all in close proximity to each other. Red is now closed but Fly has filled the space with a first class aircraft cabin inspired theme (the hostesses wear “uniforms” and they are not United Airlines standard issue).

Ultrabar is a lot of fun. Platinum crowd is very young. But if you are in college you might like it. Indeblue is an older crowd. The food is not that good however.
Indebleu is decent but the dance floor area is very small. Still, however, probably the best spot in our area for the late 20s to early 30s crowd. As for the other venues in PQ:
Platinum: Primarily 18-21 years olds trooping into the city on weekend nights from Leesburg, Manassas, Springfield, etc…
Ultrabar: Very popular on Saturday and also young with a primarily Middle Eastern crowd.

I like Indeblue. But I had the misfortune of going there to meet a friend for a drink one evening that must have been K-street happy hour or something. The place was full of good looking people that were too busy playing with their blackberries to flirt with each other.
