Here’s what we were reading last week about neighborhood news in DC. Have neighborhood thoughts? Leave them in the comments!

Capitol Hill/Penn Quarter/Mount Vernon Triangle – Ward 6 Councilmember candidate debate (Wells/DeMartino/Robinson) informs public on their positions…video clip link included. [The Hill Is Home]
Shaw – The CityMarket at O Street groundbreaking *finally* happened. Years in the making. [RenewShaw]
Mount Vernon Triangle – Mandu, a Koren restaurant, to open in CityVista fronting K Street NW posts its alcohol notice. What do we like? Sidewalk cafe baby! [The Triangle]
Shaw – A new Thai restaurant, Beau Thai on New Jersey Ave at R Street NW, updates its menu. Entree dinners are $11 (that is not a typo and it’s not a Penn Quarter price…we’re definitely checking this out!). [RenewShaw]
National Mall – The old “National Gallery of Art is taking over the Federal Trade Commission building” rumor resurfaces. [DC Metrocentric] & [Washington Business Journal]
All Over DC – This does not surprise us. Michaele Salahi will show her all to all of DC (and the rest of the world for that matter). [NBC Washington]
A big shout out goes to Grover Cleveland, 22nd and 24th President, for giving us Labor Day off !!!
