Downtown Furniture Sale
Kind of… As reported by the Washington Post yesterday, the Jefferson Hotel has been having a liquidation sale of all of its furnishings.
The sale began March 29th and will continue for 3 weeks or until everything is sold out. No idea what items remain as the sale has been going on for more than a week; it could still be worth checking out though, perhaps if you need something provided by this organization.
Hours are Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am-7:00 pm and Sunday, 12:00-5:00 pm. With a cold weekend projected, this may be the perfect outing for those hesitant to leave the confines of downtown.

Anon: “The Shining,” you have just guaranteed I will not be attending. That scene of a man dressed in a bear suit that the Shelley Duvall character briefly sees as she is running through the hotel is the most disturbing thing ever.
And then there are the twins!

I actually went to this last Friday, and pickens were gettin slim. There were definitely some good deals, especially if you are up for refinishing or re-upholstering stuff, and if nothing else – it is kind of like experiencing “The Shining” in person.
