Downtown Neighborhood Association Meeting Tonight
It’s the second Tuesday of the month and that means that tonight it is time for the monthly Downtown Neighborhood Association meeting at Calvary Baptist Church (755 8th St NW) from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. In addition to the crime and safety report by the MPD’s PSA 101 representatives, the agenda for the meeting is summarized from the DNA website in an abridged version as follows:
On the agenda is Eulois Cleckley from DDOT, to discuss a pilot project to close 10th Street NW, between E and F streets, to vehicular traffic. The purpose would be to create a pedestrian mall.
Also at the meeting will be Paul Millstein from Douglas Development. Mr. Millstein will discuss two projects. One is the building at 801 7th Steet NW (Ed. Note: NE corner of 7th and H St NW – Gallery Square), which you may recall formerly housed a CVS pharmacy. … Come to the meeting and learn who the anchor tenant will be and other plans for the site.
Mr. Millstein will also discuss a proposed project for a large office building (380,000 square feet) with retail space at 7th Street NW and New York Avenue.
