The Cowgirl Creamery is now a memory and in its place the Potomac River Running Store (919 F St NW) opened a few weeks ago in downtown DC/Penn Quarter (Penn Quarter Living has been tracking this space since February of 2006). The store offers all manner of running shoes, apparel, hydration products, and accessories. We visited the store which is nicely laid out with apparel in the front and a shoe display and fitting area in the back. Staff were smiley and friendly and they’ve already posted on Twitter about the new store.
