Is Ford’s Theatre (511 10th ST NW) the place in DC most visited by Flat Stanley? Our totally unscientific evidence says yes. While we occasionally see Flat Stanley making an appearance outside of the White House, in front of the Lincoln Memorial, or even in front of an FBI police car, it is Ford’s Theatre he seems to prefer.
If you are not familiar with Flat Stanley you probably don’t have any elementary-school-aged nieces & nephews. Wikipedia summarizes who he is better than we can, suffice it to say Flat Stanley is mailed all around the world all the time, having his photo taken at lots of interesting places. While we think Ford’s Theatre is a great location for Flat Stanley to visit, we do sometimes worry that it is just an excuse for him to visit Hard Rock Cafe afterwards.
