MLK Library Friends Meeting Tonight
We received an e-mail announcing a meeting for the Martin Luther King Library Friends who are a mix of residents who love the MLK Library and advocate on its activities and programs. They contribute to a website, have a Facebook page, and an e-mail address. They are hosting a meeting tonight at 6:30 pm in the MLK Library in Room 221 where you can learn more.
From the e-mail:
The MLK Library Friends are a mix of residents, librarians, and library users who love the MLK Library and want to promote its activities and programs. The group meets monthly to discuss what’s going on at the library and what we can do to help promote library services and usage of the branch. We’re looking for a few (or a lot of) good members to join the team as we continue to build our membership and plan for outreach activities later in the year. For more info, visit dclibraryfriends.org, find us on Facebook at MLKLibraryFriends, or email JoinMLKFriends@gmail.com. The next meeting is Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30pm at MLK Memorial Library, Rm. 221.

@ Shipsa01 – we had a MAJOR scheduling issue with Room 221 on Tuesday night (that I learned about after I was waiting outside the room for 15 minutes expecting that group to leave). One of the librarians actually told me that you were looking for the meeting. We are trying to schedule a makeup meeting/event in the next 2 weeks, so stay tuned for info, and again, apologies for the mix-up on Tuesday. – LaToya, President of MLK Friends, joinmlkfriends@gmail.com
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I stopped by last night, but there was no sight of this, the room was taken by a study-group and the clerks knew nothing of the event nor had anything on the schedule. Any idea what happened?
