The Shakespeare Theatre is calling it 20/10, 20 pairs of tickets for $10 to patrons 35 and younger released every week on Tuesday at 10 am and it’s in the newly opened Harman Hall on F Street.
For tonight’s 7:30 pm performance of Tamburlaine (by Christopher Marlowe) at the Harman Hall, all the tickets are $10 for the 35 and under crowd. There will be drink specials, door prizes and an after party with a DJ (somewhat like the Hirshhorn Museum’s After Hours events). Details for the event can be found here.
Tamburlaine, a Christopher Marlowe play, runs until January 6, 2008.

Clara Barton Missing Soldier’s Office Update (437 7th St NW)
Walking back home with a cup of java in his hand, this writer had a chance opportunity to chat with the GSA carpenter who is restoring Clara Barton’s Missing Soldier’s Office at 437 7th Street, NW and get an update on the status of the effort. This is the office Clara Barton used to locate 22,000 of the approximately 67,000 soldiers that were missing after the Civil War between 1865 and 1868. In 1869, she vacated the office and left DC for Europe to regain her health which suffered due to the demands of the job.
The restoration is moving slowly but the good news is that the museum’s artifacts are currently being cataloged and a virtual tour should be online by the end of the year. The site should open to the public about this time next year and with the Textile Museum opening practically next door, this is a museum “twofer” everyone will enjoy.
Help Dress For Success At Coup De Foudre
Coup de Foudre Lingerie, a homegrown independent PQ retailer we mentioned in our E Street Roundup, sells some of the nicest lingerie and underthings in DC. Lingerie maker Chantelle (de Paris) is donating a portion of November’s retail sales (the minimum donation will be $100K and 5K bras) to Dress for Success, a non-profit that helps disadvantaged women by providing them professional attire for interviews and working life.
The two are teaming up this weekend when Coup de Foudre will be helping ladies find the right fitting bra with the help of a Chantelle bra fit expert. 10% will be taken off Chantelle collection purchases; appointments are encouraged.

Beer + Dog = Genius
One of our favorite bars in the PQ, Rocket Bar, has always had its critics since they don’t serve food. Being able to bring food in is nice, but not everyone wants to give up a bar seat to go make a food run.
That’s why we were happy to see a hot dog stand being set up on Friday night. Talking to the management we discovered that this has been going on for about a month, most Thursdays through Sundays. The all beef dogs were $3.50, offered a variety of toppings (ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, onions and relish) and came with a side of potato chips and a pickle.
The entirely serviceable dog seems like the perfect fit for Rocket Bar.
