2017 Presidential Inauguration: Tomorrow Is Game Day
Traffic restrictions went into place this morning as planned to prepare for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration that will usher in Donald Trump as President and Mike Pence as Vice President. We saw police cars positioned along E St NW in accordance with the red zone outlined in maps distributed by the US Secret Service.
There are a number of official events taking place today and tomorrow with the only events open to the public listed below:
- Thursday, January 19 – Make America Great Again! Welcome Concert at the Lincoln Memorial (4 pm to 6 pm)
- Friday, January 20 – Swearing in ceremony at the US Capitol (11:30 am to 12:30 pm) followed by the Inaugural Parade (3 pm to 5 pm) along Pennsylvania Ave
