Taxation With Representation
Around the start of the fall season TangySweet (corner of 7th & E NW) made some changes to their list of flavors. Gone was our favorite, pink guava, and a couple of seasonal flavors were added. While we gave the new flavors a try, none reached the deliciousness of pink guava topped with yogurt chips.
We didn’t complain, assuming we’d have to wait until spring for our favorite to return; but some of you must have voiced your opinions to the TangySweet powers that be. The seasonal flavors are gone, and pink guava has made its triumphant return. Mrs. Columbo was our intrepid reporter for the details; she was told 95 percent of the customers wanted the old flavors back. She was also informed that pumpkin pie (one of the seasonal flavors) would be back in time for Thanksgiving, and that they’re working on a recipe for eggnog yogurt as well.
So let’s hear it for TangySweet, a local business that takes action based on customer feedback. If only our politicians were so accommodating.

That pumpkin pie ice cream is to die for. Really, I might die for it.
