Right next to Zengo? I guess, if there’s that much of a market for asian fushion cuisine.

Besides the Benneton’s space there are a couple of other possiblities that come to mind:

The building at 7th and I has a huge space available where the book fair was briefly this spring.

The Balducci’s space … at least it would be food oriented.

Among the currently occupied is also that clothing store next to Apartment Zero.

what happens in penn quarter gets wiretapped for future indictments.

Cingular is slated to occupy the Benetton space. Of course, when dealing with retail space, anything can happen until a tenant actually moves in.

Also food related: The signage is up at Chop’t. They said it should be opening in a week or two. (dcthegroundup.blogspot.com)

Maybe the Wake Board Shop location will get somethig better than “fresh casual”.
